VPB stands for Virtual Pilots Bombers.
VPB is a online IL2-FB/PF flying squadron.
Most of the time we fly on the virtualpilots_1 server, hosted by the
Finnish Virtual Pilots association.
The difficulty settings of this server are set to full realism.

All the missions are build around the Russian / Finnish war.

WHY VPB ? ( Remember the VP1 Events ? )

For me, the difference between the red team and blue team is obvious:
- the blue's are very skilled pilots, AND: they are used to teamwork.

Lots of the red pilots joining the events are mostly flying alone or maybe in very small groups.
( accept for the guys flying in squadrons, ofcourse. This document is not meant for this group ! )
If we ( the red team ) want to improve our skills as a team, I feel like we really
should start training to fly in teams.
This is why VPB was born a while ago:
The wish to form a cooperating red team on the virtualpilots_1 server.

So, if you are not attached to a Squadron and want to get more out of IL2:
Check out VPB and see if playing in a group makes a difference for you !

For now, being a VPB member does not mean you are comitting yourself to a tight flying schedule:
We have a roster wich tells you when and where there is a possiblity to train.

On the VPB trainingserver, we do a couple of different things, for example:
basic dogfight training, general bombing training, high altitude bombing training,
carrier take off / landings, coop missions, and so on.

Then, on the virtualpilots_1 server, we form up as a team and see how we are improved
handling the skilled blue team ;)

All this should be -fun- for you. The only pressure you should feel is the urge to improve.

Again, if you do not feel like training and want to fly on your own somewhere else:
absolutely -no- problem.
